Bircher Muesli

Rolled Oats
Ingredients:
• 1 cup Harraways Rolled Oats
• 1 cup unsweetened Greek yoghurt
• 1 apple, grated
• Juice of 1 orange (or ~1/2 cup orange juice)
• ¼ cup nuts and/or seeds e.g. Sliced almonds
• 2 tbsp coconut
• 1 tsp runny honey or maple syrup
• ¼ tsp cinnamon
• 1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen), to serve
Method:
Bircher muesli was created by a Swiss doctor, Maximilian Bircher-Benner. This consisted of fruit juice, nuts, berries and fruits. This version made by Bex is a Highlander favourite, a quick and easy way of introducing protein in the diet.

1. Combine all the ingredients apart from the mixed berries in an airtight container.

2. Store in the fridge overnight.

3. In the morning add a little more yoghurt or some milk if needed before serving.
Top with berries and enjoy!
