What is good breakfast food?
A good breakfast food is one that reduces the feeling of hunger and provides an even source of energy until lunch a “slow burning” food releases energy over a period of time.
Breakfast helps to kick start our metabolism. This in turn switches us on, using our food to generate the necessary energy to perform. We understand you need to fuel a body to perform physical tasks and this is also true for mental performance. Selecting a breakfast that meets your energy requirements by type and quantity is important and the New Zealand Nutrition Foundation have developed information on healthy eating.
