Spiced Apple Cake
with Rolled Oats

Rolled Oats
Ingredients:
Cake
• 125g butter
• 1 ½ cups plain flour
• 2 apples, grated, skins on
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon allspice
• 1 teaspoon salt

Topping
• 25g butter
• ¼ cup brown sugar
• ½ cup Harraways Rolled Oats
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease and line a cake tin with baking paper.

2. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

3. Remove from stove when melted. Add grated apple, sugar, egg and beat until well mixed.

4. Stir in sifted dry ingredients until just mixed. Turn mixture into the prepared tin.

5. To make the topping - melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Once melted remove from heat, stir in rolled oats, sugar and cinnamon.

6. Spread topping evenly over cake.

7. Bake for 30-40 mins or until sides shrinks from the tin.
